Passenger Car and Motorcycle Test Ride

Ride-along Experience with Professional Drivers

With the assistance of the Japan Motorsport Promotion Organization, this test ride program (which began at the 42nd Show in 2011) held by journalists from the Automobile Journalists Association of Japan (AJAJ) on a closed road course within the venue (Outdoor Exhibition Space) allows visitors to experience the true performance of the vehicles. This year, the program period has been extended and will be available for visitors on the Preview Day (Oct. 29 (Thu)). Registration for this event is offered on the day of the event itself. The event is expected to offer 38 cars from 22 brands. The target is to provide rides to a total of 5,700 groups. (Note: The number of participating vehicles is as of September 10 (Thu.). Models and numbers are subject to change.)

Eligibility: General visitors

  • * Those is poor physical condition may not participate.
  • * Those who do not follow the directions of staff, or those who cannot understand the directions will not be able to participate.
  • * In some of the vehicles, those wearing clothes deemed unsuitable (sandals, heels, T-shirts, shorts, skirts) will not be able to participate.
  • * If staff members find that you are unable to ride for any other reason, you will not be able to participate.

A person under the age of 18 who will participate in the following test-ride programs is requested to present this parental consent form. If not accompanied by those who have his or her parental authority, please print out and fill in this form with a required signature beforehand, and present it to the reception for the test-ride programs.

Motorcycle test ride program

This program began since the 41st Show in 2009, and will be carried out in the same manner within the venue (Outdoor Exhibition Space) to allow visitors to test-ride motorcycles. Registration is offered on the day of the event itself, and the event is expected to offer 28 motorcycles from 6 companies. 1,680 people are expected to be able to take part in this program. A special course will be set up for beginners.

Eligibility: General visitors

  • * A driver’s license applicable to the vehicle is required. (Heavy Motorcycle License (including AT-only Heavy Motorcycle License), Ordinary Motorcycle License (including AT-only Ordinary Motorcycle License, Small Motorcycle License, AT-only Small Motorcycle License), Moped License, Ordinary Vehicle License (only for Mopeds).) Those with suspended licenses may not participate.
  • * Those with clothes unsuitable for test-rides (sandals, heels, T-shirts, shorts, skirts) may not participate. Helmets will be provided by the organizer.
  • * Pregnant women and people in poor physical condition may not participate.
  • * Those who do not follow the directions of staff, or those who cannot understand the directions will not be able to participate.
