Let’s Ride a Soap Box Car and Time Trials

A soap box car race (experience) and easy time trial will be held with the cooperation of the Japan International Soap Box* Derby non-profit organization as one of the many visitor hands-on experience events. Any visitors over elementary school age that are able to use a brake pedal are welcome to participate in this event. Adult-sized soap box cars are also planned to be brought to the event, allowing parents to participate with their children. The ride will take approximately 5 minutes including a tutorial. For younger children, a soap box car simulator will be set up, using an actual soap box car and driving footage to allow the younger children to experience the race. In addition, panel exhibits are also planned.
* Soap Box is a vehicle without any engines, but in principle propelled by gravity.
