Air-Cooled Fuel Cell System (BURGMAN FUEL CELL SCOOTER)
Others
- The air-cooled fuel cell system requires fewer auxiliary devices than a liquid-cooled system, allowing it to be more compact, lighter and less expensive to build. When accelerating, it augments the power drawn from the fuel cell battery with that from the secondary battery to deliver powerful acceleration. By recovering energy from the motor and using it to charge the battery when decelerating, the system efficiently controls the use of energy.
Domestic laws covering safety standards and certification procedures for fuel cell motorcycles are currently being reviewed. Once these are in place, Suzuki will apply for type approval, with plans to begin testing on public roads afterward.
