<Aim>
According to the "Declaration to be the World's Most Advanced IT Nation" decided by the cabinet in 2013, Japan aims to "reduce the number of accident related deaths to 2,500 by 2018, and become the world's safest society for road transportation through the combination of autonomous cars and communication systems between cars and between cars and roads". The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) will formulate a "Automated Driving Vision" this year after discussions with related companies and groups about this autonomous driving system. In addition to introducing this vision, the symposium will gather knowledge and discuss with governments, companies, and experts from research institutions from all over the world about the feasibility of autonomous driving, as well as spread information about the future of cars, lifestyles to the whole world.
